Every case is a tradeoff. We didn't think it had to be.

CoolCase started with a simple frustration: phones running hot inside the cases meant to protect them. Gaming sessions cut short by thermal throttling. Batteries aging faster than they should. Cases that looked great but insulated heat like a blanket.

Thicker usually means safer, but hotter. We didn't want to accept that tradeoff, so we built cases the opposite way — engineered for airflow first, protection as a given, not an afterthought.

Every CoolCase is designed around one question: does this help the phone breathe? Not more bulk. Not more features for the sake of it. Just a case that lets your phone do what it's built to do, without overheating in the process.

  • ❌ Sealed, not vented

    Most cases wrap the back in one solid, unbroken piece of rubber or silicone — good for shock absorption, but it seals heat in with nowhere to go.

  • ❌ Insulating by default

    Silicone and TPU are natural insulators, chosen for grip and cost rather than how they handle heat — so the case ends up trapping exactly what it should be releasing.

  • ❌ Snug fit, no air gap

    A tight, uniform fit looks clean, but it presses insulating material directly against the hottest parts of the phone with no room for heat to dissipate.

The Engineering, Step by Step

How a CoolCase actually gets designed, from heat map to finished shell.

  1. Map the heat path

    Before we cut a single channel, we mapped how heat actually spreads across a phone's back panel during charging and heavy use — the hottest zones aren't random, they cluster around the processor and battery.

  2. Cut airflow along it

    The channel pattern follows that heat map, not a generic decorative grid. Openings sit exactly where heat concentrates, so air can carry it away from the zones that matter most.

  3. Choose the shell for conductivity

    The shell material is selected for how well it moves heat through itself, not just for grip or looks. It works with the channels instead of sealing heat back in like standard silicone or TPU.

Built Like a Heat Sink, Not a Blanket

Most phone cases are designed around one goal: cushioning drops. That means thick, insulating material wrapped tightly around your device — great for impact protection, but terrible for heat.

Your phone already generates heat from its processor, battery and screen. Wrap that in an insulating shell and the heat has nowhere to go, building up until performance and battery life suffer.

CoolCase takes a different approach: an open, channeled structure that lets air move across the back of your device, paired with a case material chosen for how well it conducts heat away rather than trapping it.
